Go behind the scenes with Dirk Nowitzki and the Rollertown Beerworks team, and see how The Big German came to life.
Home Team. Home Pour.
Dirk Nowitzki played 21 seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, earning an NBA championship in 2011, a league MVP award and Finals MVP honors. He remains one of the most celebrated athletes in North Texas history.
Today, Dirk is an official investor in Rollertown Beerworks. Our founders have known him for years through their work in DFW sports media, and they approached him about creating a German-style beer in his honor. The Big German Kölsch-style ale is the result: smooth, approachable and easy-drinking.
A legend.
A Local.
The name comes from Dirk’s iconic nickname, “The Big German,” known to Mavs fans everywhere.
Dirk was also involved in the design process and helped create the beer’s custom tap handle, which you can see at the bar.
Brewed in Frisco, Texas.
Minimal Hops. Smooth Finish.
